Slightly better news for supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump on the question of whether the President will be impeached and removed from office. Yesterday, Kalshi reported an unrealized return of -$0.02 on the bet that Mr. Trump’s presidency would not survive to 20 January 2029. The question last traded at a “no” of 82 cents with a total return of -$0.03.
Today, Mr. Trump fared a little better. At 11:00 am today, the bet on whether Mr. Trump would be impeached and leave office had an unrealized return of $0.00. This bet last traded at a “no” of 84 cents with a total return of -$0.01.
Reuters and other media outlets appeared quiet this morning on the issue of whether Mr. Trump would be impeached and removed from office. The focus appears to be on the costs of deploying more artificial intelligence into the economy. I will look at this question more during the day.
