It was Columbus Day here in the United States. Federal government offices, the post office, and most bank branches were closed to commemorate the landing of Christopher Columbus on the island of San Salvador in The Bahamas.
The prediction markets in the United States were not closed. While we are three weeks away from mid-term elections in the U.S., nothing much, in my opinion, has happened to make me change my mind about the question of whether President Donald J. Trump will be impeached and removed from the Presidency of the United States.
The market value on the above question has not changed much. Kalshi reported that at eleven o’clock this morning, the market value was at $0.96 but by 6:49 pm the market value dropped to $0.94. The unrealized return did take a hit going from -$0.01 at 11:00 am to -$0.04.
There was also a fall in the total return to the question of impeachment and removal from office where a fall took place from -$0.02 at 11:00 am to -$0.05 by 6:49 pm.
