Right now, we are in a teepee-shaped world with the artificial intelligence-types leading at the very top and the masses of people found at the bottom, or so is pictured the world that leadership wants us to see.
The world right now is one where white men rule the very peak of the pyramid, followed by white women. Next is the black woman with the black man pulling up the rear.
I use the white-black model because even in 2026, this relationship still runs the majority of the political-social-economic discussion in the United States. Hispanics, Caribbean, and other Europeans may feel left out of this relationship, but if given a choice, the majority of these individuals may choose the safe side which to them is the white side.
The teepee-shaped world that I described above, the “Wrong-side Up” world is on either a decline or staying flat in the very immediate term. White men have been observing changes to their positioning in society for the last 25 years. Slowly, according to some observers, we are seeing the positioning of white males in executive positions being challenged by the positioning of white and other ethnic females in the health care field. America is getting older and is in need of the elder care services the health and old homes industries provide.
Some may be seeing this as a change in the money-making environment where industrialists in the 20th century and internet gurus in the 21st century still made the decisions as to where the economy was going, what type of labor was needed, and how much larger the cut of the cheese would flow to the leaders of industry. As the topic of the day, artificial intelligence now floods the traditional and social media, and the providers of capital may have changed face-wise, but they are still mostly white men.
Unfortunately for the vast majority of blacks, not only are blacks sitting on the lower end of the pyramid but are also still arguing about how whites are negatively impacting the positioning of blacks particularly in labor and academia. Blacks are still led by or prefer to be led by old heads and other farts that settle for crumbs at the table and a title.
Meanwhile, the Peter Thiel-types are still pursuing the Wrong-side Up model where the industry of the day is the aforementioned artificial intelligence world, this time fueled by land-grabbing data centers and smaller work forces. The smaller work forces I can get with, but I will save that argument for another blog post. But while the Peter Thiel-types would prefer the white-man on top scenario, is this where it will end or better yet, is this really the goal of the Wrong-side Up model?
Given the advent of artificial intelligence, I see two longer-term flat world models. The first flat world model should see elders at the middle with the masses surrounding the elders. The flattening would occur where the elders meet only when there is a decision to be made that impacts the entire community. These meetings would be infrequent and impact a community of 150 to 200 people tops. This model has been tried before, is still in play today in some cultures, and we are likely heading back there over the next few decades.
The second flat world model would see no head council but instead would have land and other natural resources spread evenly to each household in the community. I admit that this far-right sounding, almost libertarian looking world would be tough to sell to a group any larger than a family of ten sitting on a hundred acres. It would likely fail over a longer run but could probably hold up with a limited family population of five to twenty people.
Turning to the black population one more time, could there be a next side or right side up model for blacks? On further reflection, I would say no primarily because we blacks here in the United States tend to copy whites and have shown no desire to dominate the political-social-economic structure of the United States.
Rather, a solution for blacks in the United States may be two-fold. First, get rid of the moniker, “black.” It was never created by blacks but was given by whites and adopted and molded by blacks as a way of distinguishing former Africans brought to the Americas primarily as slave labor from those blacks who stayed in North America and decided to take a piece of the American frontier. What the appropriate moniker should be I will discuss in another post.
The second portion of the solution may be for blacks to pursue a social policy designed by and for them. At first glance this pursuit may be difficult based primarily on geography. But could geography combined with technology designed by and for blacks be a solution?
