One of the problems with current political leadership is that it does not understand that markets and wealth are about turning human activity into yield. To attain this understanding means moving from a mindset that is totally steeped in caretaker mode.
The caretaker mode is at the core of concerns on the part of the markets that fiscal policy that supports a welfare state is not in balance with the markets’ need for income exceeding consumer price inflation while asset values increase to support spending on credit.
For example, when I hear political leaders talk about creating more jobs without initiatives that prepare the labor force for the types of jobs available over the horizon, it tells me that political leadership is out of touch and, hopefully, on their way to losing their jobs.
This disconnect creates a takeover opportunity for political factions sitting outside of the mainstream. These outside factions tend to fail because they have not developed cogent narratives through which to sell a philosophy …. until today.
Their success will center on knowing which emotional and spiritual buttons to push, buttons that are not available within the current system. Their success will also depend on how they can reconcile a changing global narrative driven by political economies that are autocratic with a still existing but waning desire by Americans to maintain a national, representative democracy.
Keep watching …
