Will Georgia see more federal largesse directed to the Peach State under a Congress and White House managed by the Democratic Party or managed under the Republican Party? Most of the electorate get hung up on personality and culture war issues while ignoring the business aspect of executive and legislative power.
The taxing power relationship between the electorate and the executive and legislative branches of State power should have the electorate asking how much of the federal government’s coffers can be redirected back to me? As the ADOS reparations agitators would say, “Where are my tangibles?
Analyzing Mr. Trump’s higher tariffs, fewer business regulations, strong dollar policies and Ms. Harris’ expanded child/elder care, affordable housing, tax credit policies should have Georgians asking under whose management will consumer demand for services and goods increase and if so, should Georgia take a bet by investing in infrastructure, i.e., commercial real estate, roads, bridges, higher education, etc., to meet the demand that may be spurred by a federal injection of funds?
This evening, reportedly, Wall Street analysts are crunching the numbers to determine the impact of Ms. Harris’ plan. Georgia’s businesses and labor should be doing the same thing.
